Role Snapshot: Agile Coach / Scrum Master
As the Agile Coach / Scrum Master, you’ll be the agile software delivery champion for your team(s). Serving as a liaison and facilitator, you’ll lead agile software delivery teams through successful project life cycles, ensuring effective and valuable solutions that meet strategic and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Exercise creativity, foresight, and judgment in conceiving, planning, and delivering initiatives.
- Help the team define and work within an agile project governance framework, facilitating agreements on team cadences, agile ceremonies, and backlog grooming sessions.
- Lead the agile software delivery team, helping them manage issues, overcome roadblocks, and mitigate risks.
- Facilitate partnership with Solution Architects to define strategy and outline deliverables for the project.
- Prepare and deliver client presentations, providing professional leadership on complex assignments/projects.
- Coach product owners to prioritize development work based on business value and align results with objectives.
- Evaluate process effectiveness, resolve issues promptly, and foster team cohesiveness.
Qualifications:
- Professional certifications preferred but not required: Certified Scrum Master (CSM, A-CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), ICAgile Certified Professional (ICP), IAgile Certified Expert (ICE), Certified SAFe Agilist (SA), Certified SAFe Scrum Master (SSM or SASM), Release Train Engineer.
- Senior-level Scrum Master or Product Owner experience in a collaborative environment across multiple scrum teams concurrently.
- Senior-level experience as an Agile Coach, demonstrating coaching expertise at the Team/Program level.
- Experience leading sprint planning, review, demos, retrospectives, and stand-up sessions.
- Deep knowledge in software delivery methodologies: Agile, Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, XP, and Lean.
- Experience with Agile Engineering Practices, including Continuous Integration, Test Driven Development (TDD), Pair Programming, Automated Testing, Evolutionary Design, etc.
- Experience with work management tools (i.e., Azure DevOps, Rally, Jira, CA Agile Central (CA Rally), Confluence, Aha!, etc.).
- Working familiarity with technical documentation (process maps, BRDs, system diagrams, user experience, application maps, test plans, user stories, etc.).
