Role Snapshot: Analytics Engineer Tag Management Developer

Join our growing team and be the driving force behind groundbreaking solutions to address data and analytics challenges for our clients. As an Analytics Engineer at Project 3, you’ll work directly with clients on diverse projects, including data layer architecture, tag management configuration, and analytics QA.


  • Conduct audits, discovery, and documentation of analytics applications.
  • Implement new tags and modify existing ones through Tag Management Systems.
  • Utilize custom JavaScript for data parsing and tag population.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and produce technical documentation.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and educator on analytics implementation and best practices.
  • Leverage A/B testing data for valuable insights and recommendations.
  • Streamline processes for efficient tagging.
  • Troubleshoot analytics code defects and make updates to code bases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, KPIs, and optimization strategies.
  • Lead ongoing web analytics requirements and establish tagging governance.


  • Proficient in Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics.
  • Experience with BI frameworks like Tableau, Google Data Studio, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing tools (e.g., Google Optimize, Adobe Target).
  • Skills in tag management systems (Google Tag Manager, Tealium, Ensighten, Signal, Adobe Launch).
  • Fluency in JavaScript, Java, HTML, CSS, Python, R, and SQL.
  • Experience with data layer design and debugging JavaScript code.
  • Proficient in writing clear technical documentation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills.
